Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 Large egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon Baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ cup Powdered sugar for dusting
  • ½ cup Holiday sprinkles or mini chocolate chips

Baking Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cream butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
  • Add egg and vanilla extract and beat until smooth.
  • In separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet mixture to form a soft dough.
  • Fold in holiday sprinkles or mini chocolate chips to personalize.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto prepared baking sheet.
  • Optionally sprinkle more decorations on top of dough balls.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges turn golden. Do not overbake.
  • Cool cookies for 5 minutes on pan, transfer to rack, dust with powdered sugar.

Notes

Cookies store well in an airtight container for up to 5 days. Freeze extra dough wrapped tightly for later use.
