Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 measuring spoons
  • 1 fork or whisk
  • 1 serving platter

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
  • lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Mix well.
  • Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the garlic mixture.
  • Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the shrimp and toss gently to ensure the shrimp are evenly covered.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Place the shrimp in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to do this in batches if your air fryer is small.
  • Cook the shrimp for 6-8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. The shrimp should be opaque and cooked through.
  • Remove the shrimp from the air fryer and transfer them to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

For a spicier version, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic mixture.
Shrimp cooks quickly, so keep an eye on them to prevent overcooking.
This dish pairs well with a light salad, rice, or crusty bread for soaking up any remaining garlic and oil.
