Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 measuring spoons
  • 1 tongs

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Can substitute with avocado oil or melted butter.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  • Begin by washing and trimming the ends of the green beans. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the green beans, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss well to ensure the green beans are evenly coated with the seasonings and oil.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Once preheated, place the seasoned green beans in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are well spaced for even cooking.
  • Cook the green beans in the air fryer for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even crispiness.
  • Remove the green beans from the air fryer using tongs and serve immediately. You can garnish with additional salt or pepper, if desired.

Notes

For a variation, try adding grated Parmesan cheese to the green beans during the last minute of cooking for added flavor.
You can also substitute the olive oil for avocado oil or melted butter for different tastes.
Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket to achieve the best texture. If making a large batch, cook in batches.
