Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 butter knife
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 spatula

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bread white or whole grain.
  • 4 slices cheese cheddar, American, or your choice.
  • 2 tablespoons butter butter one side of each slice of bread generously.

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.
  • While the air fryer is preheating, butter one side of each slice of bread generously.
  • Place two slices of bread, butter side down, on a cutting board. Place a slice of cheese on top of each.
  • Add the remaining two slices of bread on top of the cheese, butter side up, creating two sandwiches.
  • Carefully place the sandwiches in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; make sure there's space around them for the air to circulate.
  • Air fry for 5 minutes, flipping the sandwiches halfway through to ensure even browning.
  • Once finished, use a spatula to remove the sandwiches from the air fryer. Let them cool for a minute before slicing and serving.

Notes

You can customize your grilled cheese by adding extras like tomatoes, bacon, or avocado between the cheese slices.
Experiment with different types of cheese for unique flavors.
If you prefer a crispier sandwich, you can lightly spray the top with cooking spray before air frying.
