Equipment

  • 1 air fryer
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 baking sheet (optional)
  • 1 measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 mixing spoon or spatula

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup marinara sauce for serving, optional

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, onion, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until just combined; avoid overmixing.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. You should have approximately 20 meatballs.
  • Place the meatballs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not touching for even cooking.
  • Cook the meatballs in the air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, or until they are cooked through and browned on the outside.
  • Check the internal temperature of the meatballs with a meat thermometer; it should reach 165°F (74°C).
  • Once cooked, remove the meatballs from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve with marinara sauce if desired.

Notes

You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
Feel free to add other spices or herbs to customize the flavor to your liking.
Leftover meatballs can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
They can also be frozen for longer storage; simply reheat them in the air fryer or microwave before serving.
