Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces chicken thighs bone-in, skin-on
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup brown sugar packed
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup pineapple juice
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger minced
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • to taste pieces sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, pineapple juice, garlic, ginger, apple cider vinegar, sesame oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Whisk until well blended.
  • Place the chicken thighs in a baking dish and pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring they are fully coated. Allow them to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  • After 30 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the skin is golden and slightly crisp.
  • Once done, remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
