  • 1 whisk
  • 1 measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 spatula

Ingredients

  • 4 fillets salmon About 6 oz each.
  • ¼ cup brown sugar Can adjust for sweetness.
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon wedges for serving Optional.
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley For garnish, optional.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking dish by lightly greasing it with cooking spray or a drizzle of olive oil.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, olive oil, minced garlic, ground ginger, and black pepper. Whisk together until the ingredients are well blended and form a smooth glaze.
  • Place the salmon fillets in the prepared baking dish, skin side down. Pour the brown sugar glaze evenly over the salmon fillets, ensuring they are well coated.
  • Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for approximately 12-15 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked to your liking.
  • Once cooked, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  • Serve the glazed salmon warm, garnished with chopped fresh parsley and lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

You can adjust the level of sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar according to your taste.
This dish pairs well with steamed vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
For a touch of heat, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the glaze.
