Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium head cabbage, chopped About 2 pounds.
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Optional.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  • Drain any excess fat from the skillet, then stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped cabbage with the ground beef mixture, making sure the cabbage is well-coated.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly. If desired, top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  • After 30 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  • Allow the dish to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding paprika or red pepper flakes to the beef mixture.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
This dish also reheats well in the oven or microwave, making it great for meal prep.
