Equipment

  • 1 skillet or frying pan
  • 1 cutting board
  • 1 spatula
  • 1 large mixing bowl
  • 1 measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup fresh spinach optional
  • ½ cup sour cream for serving, optional

Instructions

  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, but not browned.
  • Add the cooked chicken to the skillet, along with paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and heat for about 5 minutes until the chicken is warmed through.
  • Stir in the shredded cheese until melted and well combined. Remove from heat.
  • Lay out the flour tortillas on a clean surface. If using spinach, place a handful onto each tortilla.
  • Spoon the cheesy garlic chicken mixture evenly onto the tortillas.
  • Fold in the sides of the tortillas and then roll them up tightly from the bottom to the top.
  • Return the skillet to medium heat. Place the wraps seam side down in the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the skillet, slice in half if desired, and serve with sour cream on the side.

Notes

Feel free to customize the wraps by adding other vegetables such as bell peppers, onions, or mushrooms.
For a spicier version, add some crushed red pepper or hot sauce to the chicken mixture.
These wraps can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for easy meals throughout the week. Reheat in a skillet for best results.
