1 skillet
1 baking dish or tray
1 cutting board
1 measuring cups
1 measuring spoons
- 1 pound cooked chicken, shredded
- 8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1 cup ranch dressing
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 12 count slider buns
- 1 tablespoon olive oil Additional olive oil for brushing is optional.
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- optional sliced green onions For garnish.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet, add the olive oil over medium heat. Once heated, incorporate the shredded chicken and stir well.
Stir in the crumbled bacon and ranch dressing. Mix until well combined and heated through (about 5 minutes). Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Place the slider buns in a baking dish. If they are whole, slice them in half to create the bottom and top halves.
Spoon the chicken mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the buns. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the chicken mixture.
Place the top halves of the buns on the sliders and brush lightly with additional olive oil if desired for extra crispiness.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the buns are slightly golden.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Slice the sliders into individual portions and serve warm.
Garnish with sliced green onions if desired.
For a spicier version, add some diced jalapeños to the chicken mixture.
Feel free to substitute the ranch dressing with your favorite dip or sauce for a different flavor.
These sliders can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving for convenience.
