Ingredients
  

  • 2 large chicken breasts About 1 pound total.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8 slider buns
  • fresh basil leaves For garnish, optional.
  • olive oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Slice the chicken breasts horizontally to create 4 thin pieces.
  • In a shallow dish, combine breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and dredge each piece of chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
  • Add the breaded chicken pieces to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • On the baking sheet, place the slider buns open-faced and spread a layer of marinara sauce on each bottom half.
  • Place a piece of cooked chicken on top of each bun, add a spoonful of marinara sauce over the chicken, and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Top with the other half of the slider buns and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Feel free to customize these sliders with your favorite toppings, such as sliced jalapeños or roasted red peppers, for an extra kick. These sliders can also be made with turkey or plant-based alternatives for a different twist. Enjoy!
