1 large pot
1 strainer
1 large skillet
1 wooden spoon
1 cutting board
- 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts About 1.5 lbs total.
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- for garnish, optional fresh parsley, chopped
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Once boiling, add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the noodles and set aside.
While the noodles are cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with paprika, salt, and pepper.
Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside to rest.
In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet along with the butter. Stir gently until the butter melts and coats the noodles evenly, about 2 minutes.
Slice the rested chicken breasts and serve them over the buttery noodles. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and enjoy!
You can add vegetables such as peas or broccoli to the noodles for extra nutrition and flavor.
This dish can be easily customized with your favorite seasonings or herbs.
For a creamier version, consider adding a splash of heavy cream or sour cream to the noodles.
