- 300 g tortilla chips
- 400 g canned chili with or without beans
- 200 g shredded cheddar cheese
- 100 g sour cream
- 1 medium jalapeño sliced (optional)
- 50 g sliced black olives optional
- 1 small tomato diced (optional)
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon taco seasoning optional
- Fresh for garnish cilantro optional
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the canned chili and stir in the olive oil and taco seasoning (if using). Heat for about 5-7 minutes until warmed through, stirring occasionally.
On a baking sheet, spread the tortilla chips in an even layer. Pour the warmed chili over the chips, ensuring an even distribution.
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously over the chili-topped nachos.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Carefully remove the nachos from the oven and let them cool slightly.
Top with sour cream, sliced jalapeños, black olives, and diced tomatoes (if using). Garnish with fresh cilantro.
