  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 12 Dove candies milk, dark, caramel, or mixed
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar for rolling

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix melted butter and ¾ cup granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Add egg and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  • In separate bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt.
  • Slowly add dry ingredients to wet mixture until soft dough forms.
  • Scoop 1.5 tablespoons of dough, flatten, and place one Dove candy in center.
  • Wrap dough around candy to form a ball.
  • Roll each ball in ¼ cup granulated sugar to coat.
  • Place dough balls on baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Flatten lightly.
  • Bake for 7-9 minutes until edges are golden and tops set.
  • Let cool on baking sheet for 10 minutes, then transfer to rack.

For gooey centers, don't overbake. Store in airtight container up to a week or freeze for 3 months.
