Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the 9x5-inch loaf pan.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Be sure the melted butter isn’t too hot before combining with the other ingredients.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not over-mix.
Gently fold in the diced apples.
In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon to create the cinnamon swirl mixture.
Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon swirl mixture over this layer.
Add the remaining batter on top and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon swirl mixture over the top. Use a knife to gently swirl the mixture into the batter.
Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
While the bread is baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Once the bread is done, allow it to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread before slicing.
