- 3 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons cream cheese room temperature
- ¼ teaspoon cream of tartar
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- to taste herbs or seasonings Optional for flavoring
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, separate the egg whites from the yolks. Place the egg whites in one bowl and the yolks in another.
Add the cream cheese and salt to the yolks and mix well until creamy and smooth.
In the bowl with the egg whites, add the cream of tartar. Use an electric mixer or whisk to beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form (about 3-5 minutes).
Gently fold the yolk mixture into the whipped egg whites using a spatula until well combined. Be careful not to deflate the egg whites.
Using the spatula, scoop the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet into 6 equal portions, shaping them into round bread-like shapes.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, or until the cloud bread is lightly golden and firm to the touch.
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Enjoy your cloud bread as a delicious low-carb alternative!
Store any leftover cloud bread in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
You can customize the flavor by adding garlic powder, onion powder, or your favorite dried herbs to the yolk mixture.
