Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 pieces hamburger buns
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 4 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • to taste none salt
  • to taste none pepper
  • as needed none lettuce leaves for garnish (optional)
  • as needed none tomato slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your skillet or grill over medium-high heat.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until evenly combined, but avoid overworking the meat.
  • Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing while cooking.
  • Cook the bacon slices in the skillet or on the grill until crispy, then set aside on paper towels to drain the excess fat.
  • In the same skillet or on the grill, cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) for medium.
  • In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to melt the cheese.
  • Assemble the burgers: spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise and 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard on the bottom of each hamburger bun.
  • Place the cooked patty with melted cheese on top, add 2 slices of bacon, and garnish with lettuce and tomato, if desired. Top with the other half of the bun.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Crack Burgers!

Notes

Feel free to customize your burgers with additional toppings such as pickles, onions, or avocado.
For a spicier version, add some sliced jalapeños or hot sauce to the burgers.
Leftover burgers can be refrigerated and reheated for a later meal.
