  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded You can use rotisserie chicken to save time.
  • 1 cup cream cheese (8 ounces)
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • optional chopped green onions For garnish.

Instructions
 

  • Begin by cooking the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, ranch dressing, and chicken broth. Stir until the cream cheese is melted and the mixture is well combined.
  • Add the garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper to the skillet. Mix thoroughly.
  • Fold in the frozen peas and cooked penne pasta, stirring to combine all ingredients evenly. Allow the mixture to cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, until heated through.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the pasta and cover the skillet for a few minutes until the cheese is melted.
  • Once the cheese has melted, remove the skillet from heat. Serve immediately, garnishing with chopped green onions or bacon bits if desired.

Notes

You can use rotisserie chicken to save time.
Feel free to add other vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for extra nutrition.
This dish can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat before serving.
