Equipment

  • 1 large skillet
  • 1 measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 tongs
  • 1 wooden spoon or spatula
  • 1 cutting board

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts 1.5 lbs total
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Asiago cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste none salt
  • to taste none pepper
  • for garnish none fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning on both sides.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir occasionally, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  • Gradually add the grated Asiago cheese, stirring until melted and the sauce is creamy. Adjust the seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
  • Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Let them simmer in the sauce for about 2-3 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
