Equipment

  • 1 Large skillet
  • 1 Measuring cups
  • 1 Measuring spoons
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 Cutting board

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken thighs About 1.5 pounds.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • Salt To taste.
  • Pepper To taste.
  • Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.

Instructions

  • Begin by seasoning the chicken thighs with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken thighs and sear them for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and scrape the bottom of the skillet to release any browned bits. Allow it to simmer for about 3 minutes.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and dried Italian herbs, mixing well to combine. Allow the sauce to simmer for another 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.
  • Return the chicken thighs to the skillet, covering them with the creamy sauce. Let them simmer in the sauce for an additional 10 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
  • Once done, remove from heat, and garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

This dish pairs wonderfully with rice, pasta, or crusty bread to soak up the creamy sauce.
Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms to the sauce for added nutrition and flavor.
For a lower calorie version, you can substitute the heavy cream with Greek yogurt or a lower-fat cream.
