Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows
  • 1 cup canned mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1 cup shredded coconut (sweetened)
  • 1 cup maraschino cherries, drained and halved
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (or walnuts)
  • 1 cup sour cream For a lighter version, you can substitute Greek yogurt.
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the miniature marshmallows, mandarin oranges, pineapple chunks, shredded coconut, maraschino cherries, and chopped pecans.
  • In a separate small bowl, whisk together the sour cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Pour the sour cream mixture over the fruit mixture in the large bowl. Gently fold everything together until all the ingredients are well combined and coated with the dressing.
  • Transfer the ambrosia salad to a serving dish. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  • Serve chilled and enjoy this festive treat!

Notes

Feel free to adjust the fruit based on your preferences. Fresh fruits like strawberries or blueberries can be great additions.
For a lighter version, you can substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream.
