Ingredients
  

  • 3 pieces ripe bananas, mashed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil Can be substituted with melted butter for a richer flavor.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease the loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  • Add the granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Whisk until well combined.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, mix the baking soda, salt, and all-purpose flour together.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet banana mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed in the batter.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Once baked, remove the bread from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

You can substitute vegetable oil with melted butter for a richer flavor.
Feel free to add nuts or spices like cinnamon for added flavor.
This banana bread can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerated for up to a week. You can also freeze it for longer storage.
