Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts About 1.5 pounds.
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • salt To taste.
  • pepper To taste.
  • optional chopped fresh parsley For garnish.

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, chicken broth, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring they are well coated.
  • Cover the slow cooker with the lid and set it to cook on low for 6 hours.
  • After the cooking time is complete, carefully remove the chicken using tongs. It should be tender and easy to pull apart.
  • If desired, shred the chicken with a fork and return it to the slow cooker, mixing it into the sauce. Alternatively, serve the chicken whole with sauce poured over the top.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.

Notes

This dish pairs wonderfully with rice, mashed potatoes, or a fresh green salad.
You can customize the flavor by using different barbecue sauces or adding your favorite spices to the marinade.
Leftover chicken can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for longer storage.
