Equipment

  • 1 large skillet
  • 1 pot for boiling pasta
  • 1 colander
  • 1 whisk
  • 1 mixing spoon
  • 1 set measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts Cut into bite-sized pieces.
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic Minced.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 8 ounces pasta Penne or fettuccine work well.
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley For garnish.

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  • Add the chicken pieces to the skillet. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
  • Reduce the heat to low. Pour the heavy cream into the skillet with the cooked chicken. Stir to combine and bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Gradually add in the grated Parmesan cheese, whisking constantly until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add a little pasta water to reach the desired consistency.
  • Combine the cooked pasta with the creamy garlic butter chicken in the skillet. Toss until the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
