Equipment

  • 1 Large skillet
  • 1 Pot for boiling pasta
  • 1 Wooden spoon
  • 1 Tongs
  • 1 set Measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 Colander
  • 4 Serving plates

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Approximately 1.5 pounds.
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 8 ounces linguine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • to taste fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.

Instructions

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Stir in the dried Italian seasoning and lemon juice. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  • Reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream. Stir to combine, then gradually add the Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  • Meanwhile, cook the linguine according to package instructions in a pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Slice the cooked chicken breasts and return them to the skillet with the creamy sauce. Add the linguine and gently toss to coat everything evenly with the sauce.
  • Serve the dish warm, garnished with freshly chopped parsley.
