Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced bell pepper any color
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 4 slices provolone cheese or any preferred cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls or sub rolls

Instructions
 

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften.
  • Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef to the skillet. Use a spatula to break it apart while cooking.
  • Season the beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the beef is fully cooked and browned.
  • Once the beef is cooked, reduce the heat to low. Place a slice of provolone cheese on top of the beef mixture in the skillet. Cover the skillet with a lid and let the cheese melt for about 2-3 minutes.
  • While the cheese is melting, slice the hoagie rolls and lightly toast them if desired.
  • Once the cheese has melted, use a spatula to divide the mixture evenly among the toasted hoagie rolls.

Notes

You can customize the recipe by adding mushrooms or hot peppers for extra flavor.
