  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 chai tea bag contents only
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
  • additional sugar and cinnamon for rolling

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cream together butter, vegetable oil, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Add egg and vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, chai tea, cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, mixing until soft dough forms.
  • Mix cinnamon sugar for rolling.
  • Scoop dough into balls and roll in cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Place balls on baking sheet 2 inches apart. Flatten slightly with glass bottom.
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  • Cool on sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to rack.
