Top off the mixture with the sparkling water or lemon-lime soda. Stir lightly to combine, being careful not to disturb the fruit too much.
Let the sangria sit for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Serve in glasses filled with ice, garnishing each with a few fresh mint leaves, if desired.
Feel free to customize the fruit based on your preference or what’s in season. Grapes, kiwi, or pineapple can be great additions!
For a spiced twist, you can add a stick of cinnamon to the pitcher and let it infuse for a couple of hours before serving.
