Begin by patting the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides of the fillets with salt and pepper to taste.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Carefully add the salmon fillets to the skillet, skin side down (if the fillets have skin). Cook for about 5-6 minutes or until the skin is crispy and the salmon is cooked halfway through.
While the salmon is cooking, prepare the sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the orange juice, orange zest, soy sauce, honey, and minced garlic.
Flip the salmon fillets over and pour the orange sauce over them in the skillet. Reduce the heat to medium and continue cooking for another 4-5 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Once done, remove the skillet from the heat and let the salmon rest for a minute. Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions if desired.
Serve the salmon hot, drizzled with the pan sauce.
