Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (10 oz) Rotel tomatoes, drained For a milder flavor, use original Rotel tomatoes instead of the spicy variety.
  • 2 cups Bisquick mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray it with cooking spray.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the softened cream cheese for about 30 seconds to make it easier to mix.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground sausage, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and drained Rotel tomatoes. Mix well until fully incorporated.
  • Add the Bisquick mix, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until a dough forms and all ingredients are combined.
  • Use your hands to roll the mixture into balls about 1 inch in diameter and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a milder flavor, you can use original Rotel tomatoes instead of the spicy variety.
These sausage balls can be made ahead of time and frozen. Just bake them from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time.
