Slow Cooker Hawaiian Chicken and a Bunch More Recipes You Gotta Try
This Slow Cooker Hawaiian Chicken is an easy, flavorful dish made with tender shredded chicken in a sweet and tangy pineapple garlic sauce — perfect for dinner, parties, or game day meals.
Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add chopped onions and cook until translucent, about 3–4 minutes.
Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds more.
Sprinkle in flour and stir constantly for 1 minute to form a roux.
Whisk in pineapple juice, then add brown sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 10–15 minutes until thickened.
Pour sauce over chicken in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low 8 hours or on high 3–4 hours.
Shred chicken with forks and stir to combine with sauce.
Notes
Serve on sandwich rolls, over rice, or your favorite salad. Sauce thickens as it cools. Store leftovers in refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
