Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease the baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
Take half of the chocolate chip cookie dough and evenly press it into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form a crust layer.
Lay the Oreo cookies in a single layer over the cookie dough crust, placing them as close together as possible.
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, sour cream, and vanilla extract. Beat the mixture with an electric mixer until smooth and well-blended.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing just until combined after each addition. Do not overmix.
Pour the cream cheese mixture over the layer of Oreos and spread it evenly.
Take the remaining chocolate chip cookie dough and crumble it over the cream cheese layer, ensuring it's evenly distributed.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden and the cheesecake filling is set.
Once done, remove from the oven and allow it to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars.
