Equipment

  • 1 9x13 inch baking pan
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 electric mixer
  • 1 rubber spatula
  • 1 set measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 parchment paper (optional)

Ingredients

  • 1 package refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough 16 oz
  • 1 package Oreo cookies 14.3 oz (about 24 cookies)
  • 16 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease the baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • Take half of the chocolate chip cookie dough and evenly press it into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form a crust layer.
  • Lay the Oreo cookies in a single layer over the cookie dough crust, placing them as close together as possible.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, sour cream, and vanilla extract. Beat the mixture with an electric mixer until smooth and well-blended.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing just until combined after each addition. Do not overmix.
  • Pour the cream cheese mixture over the layer of Oreos and spread it evenly.
  • Take the remaining chocolate chip cookie dough and crumble it over the cream cheese layer, ensuring it's evenly distributed.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden and the cheesecake filling is set.
  • Once done, remove from the oven and allow it to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars.
