Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups Honeycrisp apples, diced
  • 2 cups celery, chopped
  • 1 cup seedless grapes, halved
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped Toasted pecans are preferred.
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • ΒΌ cup honey or maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • Begin by preparing the pecans. Place a skillet over medium heat and add the chopped pecans. Toast them for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fragrant and golden. Remove from heat and let them cool.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced Honeycrisp apples, chopped celery, halved grapes, toasted pecans, and dried cranberries.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey (or maple syrup), lemon juice, and a pinch of salt and pepper. This will be your dressing.
  • Pour the dressing over the salad mixture and gently toss everything together until well-coated.
  • Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. You can add more salt, pepper, or even a touch more honey if you like it sweeter.
  • Serve immediately in a serving bowl, or refrigerate for up to an hour to let the flavors meld.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg.
This salad can be made ahead of time; just dress it right before serving to keep the apples from browning.
Feel free to swap out the nuts or add your favorite ingredients, such as feta cheese or chopped parsley, for more flavor.
