Equipment

  • 1 Large pot
  • 1 Skillet
  • 1 Strainer
  • 1 Wooden spoon
  • 1 set Measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 Serving bowl

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces cheese tortellini
  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley for garnish Optional.

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the cheese tortellini and cook according to the package instructions until al dente, usually about 3-5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  • Reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream to the skillet with the beef. Stir to combine.
  • Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined and the sauce is smooth.
  • Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet and toss gently until the tortellini is coated in the creamy sauce.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
